Description
Passenger lists of arrivals in Canada for the period before 1865 are hard to find—not because they weren’t compiled, but because they were rarely preserved. This book indexes passenger lists found in the records of the British Colonial Office. Each of the more than 4,000 entries includes surname, given name, year, archival reference, and microfilm number.
Note: Many of these entries are included in the Library and Archives Canada online database “Immigrants Before 1865”.
